Why Do You Need a Commercial EICR Certificate?

What Happens During an EICR Inspection?

At first, our qualified electricians will visit your property. Here is the detailed process:

Step 1: Visual Inspection

We look at your electrical system to check for any visible signs of damage or outdated wiring.

Step 2: Electrical Testing

We perform different tests to make sure everything is working safely:

  • Live Testing: Checks if electricity flows safely through circuits.
  • Dead Testing: Ensures wires are connected properly.
  • Insulation Resistance Test: Checks if electricity is leaking from wires.
  • RCD (Residual Current Device) Testing: Ensures safety switches work properly.

Step 3: EICR Report & Grading

Once we finish testing, we give your electrical system a safety rating:

  • C1 (Immediate Danger): Needs urgent repair.
  • C2 (Potential Danger): Needs fixing soon.
  • C3 (Improvement Recommended): Not dangerous but should be improved.
  • FI (Further Investigation) Required: More tests are needed.

If your property fails the EICR, we provide a list of necessary repairs to make it safe.
