This Company Policy outlines our commitments, responsibilities, and the standards we uphold in all aspects of our operations.

Terms and Conditions

By placing an order with Moffat Engineering Services, you are accepting our terms and conditions. Your statutory rights are not affected by these conditions. Our terms and conditions govern your relationship with Moffat Engineering and include:

  • Contract: Any contract between us and a customer for services booked or ordered.
  • Services: The services we provide to our customers.
  • Working Hours: Monday to Saturday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, excluding Bank and Public Holidays.
  • Payment Terms: All services are invoiced inclusive of VAT, and full payment is required prior to service provision unless agreed otherwise.

Service Delivery

  • Order Confirmation: We will confirm the availability of the requested service and provide an Order Confirmation.
  • Pricing: We reserve the right to vary our prices. All services will be invoiced at the order price inclusive of VAT.
  • Call-Out Charges: A call-out fee is applicable if the engineer cannot access the property or the inspection cannot be carried out due to customer-related issues.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Accurate Information: Customers must ensure all details provided for purchasing services are correct.
  • Payment: Customers must ensure sufficient funds or credit facilities to cover the cost of services ordered.
  • Access: Customers must provide access to the property and necessary facilities, such as parking permits or bays.

Quotation and Deposits

  • Quotations: Free quotations are available on request for all electrical work. Quotes are valid for 28 days from the issue date.
  • Deposits: Major projects will commence once full payment is received and confirmed.

Cancellation and Missed Appointments

  • Cancellation Policy: A strict 24-hour cancellation policy applies. Missed appointments or cancellations within 24 hours will incur a charge.
  • Rescheduling: We will reschedule missed appointments due to unforeseen circumstances as soon as possible.

Conduct and Termination

We will not tolerate any form of aggressive, rude, or discriminatory behavior towards our staff or contractors. We reserve the right to terminate the contract at any time if a customer acts contrary to the agreed terms.
